Gig tomorrow - Ladies' Night!
« on: November 05, 2010, 11:14:22 PM »
Playing as a 3 piece - piano/guitarist/vocalist + me on guitar + a percussionist.

It's a Ladies' Night gig! Should be fun!

It's a bit of a drive, so I'll be gone all day. We practice a bit before the show, play for a while, get fed supper, and then we play again.

I haven't decided which gear I will bring. I think I'll take the Spider Valve MkII combo and a Mack amp (or one more small combo as a backup). A few pedals and two guitars, and that should do it. :)

Oh, I'm in demand! What should I do? Nah, just kidding, you got it! Sounds like a winner! Make them ladies smile! Your game plan sounds more than adequate. You got all the bases covered. I got a gig in New York tomorrow myself. I'm pumped.

No video, but here are some photos. It was entertaining!  ::) :D

It was fun but long. And, a bit embarrassing when a lady came up and rubbed her *hrm* you know back, on my back as I was playing... ;) Too much bodychecking there for a while for me!

It got really late too. Didn't get to bed until 4:30, so this I don't want to do too often, but once in a while, it's entertaining.

We had major issues with the PA and the power in the building. Kept blowing the brakers, so that sucked big time.

Welcome to the Red Beaver!

"Sounds"?  "Sounds" like the audience had as good time.  Good sounds that is.

Looks like you had fun and that Superswede and Shur Classic gave you all the tones you needed through those amps!  I'm surprised there was a bass player, but I guess the keys kept the background rhythm going for you.  I've never played with a keyboardist.  Sounds like fun!

We wanted a bass player, but could not find one...

Fun gig for sure.

It doesn't surprise me you were "assalted" by a female guest.  Of course with an establishment named like that, maybe it should change from Red to Eager? lol!
