Strings!

My favorite strings are Dean Markley's vintage series.  Really cool strings, but they seem to go dead fast.
(For electrics).  But when Guitar Center has a Ernie Ball sale with strings at $3 a set, I have to make the switch.

For my acoustic, I absolutely love the Cleartones.  Very loud strings that make my Ibanez sound like a $2,000 guitar.  (I played it against my friends Gibson Songwriter Deluxe.  Everyone thought my guitar sounded better!)

I like ernie ball strings because they cost the least amount of money and they last for about 6 months on and electric.

For my acoustic, I buy fender, but they are used  for electric guitars but I put them on my acoustic anyway. They really don't last that long because of the climate here.

D'addario 10-46 on my Peavey.

On my Squier I've got some no name 9s I got off eBay cheap. I'll probably either go back to Ernie Ball which is what I had on it before or get some strings from GFS. I've heard they are pretty decent and the price is good.

electric guitar string brand... never cared what brand I use. Now down to 009-042 or 009-046 mostly. Although my tele has 009-052. I just want to be able to do the country bends!

My ugitars now have D'Addario and Rotosound, the cheapest to me right now.

I use Fender Superbullets 10-46 on my strat. Still testing different brands for my acoustic.

i like gibson vintage re-issue #9's.  i can never find them here in toronto, so i just buy the d'addario 9's that everyone carries here. they're ok, but not really what i want.

Dean Markley Blue Steels. I got the bass ones before, and I really liked them, so when I got a guitar, I  thought I would give the guitar version strings a try, and I really like them too. They just have that "gutsy" tone I was looking for in a blues guitar.

I have grown accustomed to Dean Markley's Blue Steel custom lights. I always thought they did sound different.

Just bought a pack of Elixir strings to try out the other week. Wow, they really feel like no other strings I've ever played! The only way I can explain it is that they feel like a set of flat wound strings. They're coated with some type of goretex plastic or something and it is supposed to keep the strings clean and longer lasting. Although the tone doesn't seem that much to brag about in my opinion they do play very well.

I haven't tried them but I've got a couple of sets of no name strings I bought cheap off eBay that are 010, 013, 017, 030, 042, 052

I have tried some of the same brand Super Lights (9s) but haven't tried these yet.
