Sounds great, Robert! Thanks for getting the ball rolling.  8)

I've got a couple of ideas I'm working on and will try to get them recorded in the next day or so.

diaper head, unless I'm completely off base, this is a 12 bar and Robert just did 2 progressions or 24 bars. Someone set me straight if I'm wrong.

Pictoratus, you are correct. We can just take turns, is my thinking. 1 time through was too short for me, so I took 2 times through the 12 bars. Hope that's ok. :)

Yeah.... I gotta figure out what I'm missing (like a brain and an aptitude for this stuff) and what I need to do to get the ball rolling... like some kind of cord, interface or something. Then I need to walk through the steps in order to record. Playing is the EASY part!

UPDATE!!!! I think I'm on to something! It's a crude setup, but it beats a blank! Got my fingers crossed.

Alright, Zag!  8)

Here's my addition. I've also gone through two progressions tacked right to the point where Robert left off.

Robert's right; one's not enough.  ;D

First off great stuff guys, i can get more practice in this way than any other so I love this kindof stuff.   What isn't great however is trying to record in a thunderstorm and getting power surges in the middle of your recordings 3 times in a row  >:( .   Guess i should practice more so i can do it in one take, gonna give it an hour and try again after this storm chills a bit.

I have a little contribution done (after Pics' solo), but I don't know how to get it on here. I "think" I uploaded it on Box.net.... I don't know. I still have a file on my PC. ???

Yeah...Please clue us in guys as to how you are doing it. It's sort of a pain to do on Box.net without a paid (upgrade) account.

I'm using Dropbox http://db.tt/TaZIOXr

It's easy to use, you just install the client on your PC after you sign up and when you put a file in the Dropbox folder on your PC, it automatically uploads to the corresponding folder on your Dropbox.

If you put a file in your Public folder, you can then right click on the file and get a link to post here which is what I did for my file.

Also you get 2GBs of space free.

Box.net is great - are you running out of space on the free account, or what makes it a pain?

I use DropBox too - works great as well. By the way, it is possible to upload to DropBox without having to install a client.

Box.net does not give you the share link when using a free account. It generates the link, but you cannot share it easily, will not even copy & paste. You have to click "share", then send it to your email (or someone else's) before you get a link that you can actually copy & paste, and then post it in the forum. It does give you 5gb storageas a free member though.

It sounds like Dropbox is a lot easier.
