Using the chat room
« on: January 13, 2011, 07:18:27 PM »
Look at the bottom of the site. It says "Who's Online". Just use your mouse and press the left button over the Who's Online and a pop up window will show. The names of the people who are visiting the site will show up. If you want to start a chat with one, just press the button (left) on the mouse over a persons name  and just type in a message.

Thanks

Still doesn't work for me - at least to initiate a chat.  However, if someone else initiates the chat it works fine.  Had a nice visit tonight.   :)

It would be nice if the "Chat" feature could be used while browsing/posting in the forum. The "Float & Dock" feature is probably intended for this purpose, but it doesn't work. The window pops out, but it is lost as soon as I go to the forum.

The "Who's online" thing at the bottom of the forum page has never worked for me.

Robert mentioned an upgrade sometime in the future, so maybe this could be resolved then.

Who's interested in the chat feature? Tell me Yes/No please. It's hard to find a good chat app however...

I'm interested, but it can certainly wait until you decide to do an upgrade. I realize it takes a lot of time and effort to tweak this stuff!

I know a few of us have indicated this but it don't work for me either. I'd be cool to participate tho. I do know that the pretty blue bar below is somewhat functional cause when I click on the envelope icon (on the right) next to the speaker icon (far right) it sends me to a message section. Oh yeah... I my case, in the progress bar at the bottom of the screen, the minute I put the cursor over the "Who's online" thing, a message reads "javascript;void(0)". The same result when I put the cursor over the speaker icon all the way to the right.
