New Guitar Day... Just not for me...

A friend custom ordered a H-157 from the Heritage Guitar factory in Kalamazoo Michigan (Original Gibson Factory owned by their old employees)

Triple gold covered Tom Short Mini Humbuckers
Split Block Inlays
Abalone side markers
5 ply binding on body front, back, neck, and headstock
One piece hand selected mohagany back
AAAAA grade book matched quilted maple top
Five piece flamed maple and rosewood neck
Gold Hardware
Cupids Bow on end of Ebony fretboard
Vintage Wine Burst top
Natural back and sides

I held this guitar this morning... Wow.... :o

I've heard about those guitars. The word is they still have the quality build that Gibsons once had.

Beautiful piece of work.

You heard right!  Their quality is a notch above all else.  This guitar I believe was less than what a run of the mill Gibson Les Paul Custom costs.  If this guitar was made by Gibson, PRS, or Fender, you'd be above $15,000 range.  You get custom shop quality at mass produced prices.

They don't come cheap, but they are fantastic. I have played a few. Sweet!

My was somewhat cheap, it had a repaired broken headstock so I paid about 1/4 of what it would cost if it was new...
