On Clearence...

I've got my mind set on an Epiphone Masterbuilt series acoustic.  Went to my local Guitar Center yesterday and noticed they have a pair of them on Clearence for $389.  So tempting, but I doubt I'll pull the trigger.

Just got a new epi EL-00 from zZounds. For $300 I thought it would make a good beater. Turns out, with the solid spruce top, it's got great tone. Classic C neck - not too thick, not too thin, very comfy and playable. So not just a beater, I'm playing it constantly now. Who knew???

Some of epiphones higher cost guitars are really worth it.  Their masterbuilt acoustics and some of their solid bodies electrics are really well made guitars.

that's good. epi does make some nice stuff, you just have to check it out is all.  i had an lp that was excellent (it wasn't cheap though)  my nephew had one that was garbage. (it was cheap)
i've heard many people say good things about their mid to upper level acoustics.

When it comes to their Les Pauls, the standards and above are their quality guitars.  I rather like their custom (which can be found for the same price or less than a new standard) and some of their more unique models such as the prophecy models.
