Input Time; Trends
« on: February 14, 2014, 03:31:09 AM »
I have another "Input Time" piece in the effects section, but it's on a different subject. Here I'll address something I'm beginning to see more of.........folks disassembling guitars and selling the parts. I noticed this on the bay for about the last week or so, now I'm seeing it in my area Craigslist. I guess (actually I know)  that's a better way of moving merchandise and making capital. Just haven't seen it that often until lately.
Your input folks!

It irritates me when the guitar was somewhat rare, and there was obviously nothing wrong with it before it was parted-out. Otherwise no problem.

Guitars can be worth more in pieces.  eBay seller, Stratosphere, sells thousands of guitars  he takes completely apart. Obviously, he focuses on Fender. Gibsonreliable sells Gibsons in pieces. Sad but true.  I've bought several projects from them both.... In my case I had a Fender Roadhouse Strat, but I preferred rosewood, so I bought a Lonestar neck and swapped them.  I had an Epiphone Les Paul and put in some Gibson Burstbuckers in it...
