CL is a low baller's paradise.  Don't expect someone to pay top dollar.  If you want the true value of an instrument, Guitar Center's used gear section is the best indicator for the value of a used guitar.

I buy used most of the time. Guitars can be tricky to buy used though, but amps and effects, hell yes.

I don't think I'll ever buy new unless its a retirement gift for myself in about 30 years....

when it comes to amps and effects, i always feel like i'm making a leap of faith.  i just don't feel like i know much about electronics, but there isn't as much of it in a guitar, so i feel more comfortable with my decisions in the initial period after i make a purchase.
