I have a Cry Baby and even after all these years it still has the white sticker on top of the pedal. I do like it, but it needs to be greased.

every time i've ever owned one, they sooner or later start to crackle.  usually withing a few months

I have a Vox V846 wah which was basically the only thing I have left over from the 70's and when it crackles, I Deoxit! http://store.caig.com/s.nl/it.A/id.1602/.f?sc=2&category=188 The only other thing I ever did to this thing is replace the pot once, but that was before I discovered the stuff.

It took me about four tries, but I finally realize Wah pedals to wear out and its the only pedal I'd never recommend buying used.  You can replace the pot, inductor, caps, etc, but the actual spring the hold the pedal in place cannot be adjusted or replaced....

By the way, I might be eating crow, but I just bought a used GCB95F Classic for $50 cash.  Looks new, but in a beat up box.  Crossing my fingers it works....

be nice if it works. i've got a bad horsie...my first and last wah, likely. the stories about all the failing parts pushed me into the morley. i don't use it that much; i would be irritated if i hooked it up and it crackled every time from just sitting.

One of the reasons I still have mine is I forgot I still had it. The Wahs' popularity kinda dropped off for a while and now it seems it's creepin' up in the spotlight again. Depending on the type of music you play of course. If it does regain popularity again, at least I don't have to buy one.

that's all up to what sounds best for you.  I put my wah before any other pedal, but Hendrix may have put it after.   Try it out either way and see what works.
