those do look rather nice... I'm always concerned when I see a guitar priced that low... I never know if its worth it or not....

My main concern, after reading a few reviews, is the the frets may be too tall. I had the same situation an a DeArmond M75T, and spent almost the cost of this guitar to have them leveled & recrowned. I'll probably get it anyway though (LOL).

For $155, its not bad... But if I bought one in Black, it would be only $114.... That is CHEAP!

We should ask Robert to get one and tell us if its worth it or not.

if the frets are too tall, raise the action and use it for slide.   it's a nice looking guitar except for one thing. you can't remove the pick guard

The frets are jumbo, but being too tall may be more of result of unlevel frets....  For $100, just about any luthier could fix that.  It may take some money, but it can be turned into a stage/gig worth guitar for minimal cost.... 

There was a review on PG in which the author finds bottom of the barrel deals.  In one article, he purchased a yellow Callisto Jr.

This reminds me of a thread awhile back (another forum) about a company in Incheon, Korea called Saein Musical Instrument Co. Ltd. I think they later opened a factory in Gaomi City, China. They have been an OEM vender for Epiphone, Ibanez and Peavey guitars since 2001. For all I know they may have been crankin' out some PRS stuff as well. I think they may be responsible for SX, Douglas and Agile stuff too. I remember reading somewhere that SX guitars are a spanish company that has them made in china. Saein has their own line of guitars called Shine.  http://www.saein.co.kr/

I used to live in Incheon and never knew there were guitar factories around there.  But its not a small place or easy to get around.  You basically have to walk everywhere....

I was about ready to order the Callisto Jr, but ran across a video review on YouTube where the single coil hum was pretty bad. Then I discovered the P90s weren't reverse wound, which made me rethink my decision.

If the P90s were reverse wound, or if the Callisto Jr had humbuckers, I would have jumped on this deal...and I still might. It would still be cost effective even if I replaced one of the P90s, or even replaced both with P100s off eBay.

Anyway...I ran across the Douglas WRL 590 Floyd NA on the same site (rondomusic.com) and did the deal. It should ship tomorrow. BTW...So much for the simplicity thing!!

 It looks like an exact copy of a Gibson Les Paul Special, which is between a
Junior and a  Standard and they currently go for between $900 and $1300. They have a great sound with those Gibson P 90's. I think Lesley West plays a Special.

Hey Creek, you like that Licensed floyd rose double locking bridge type thing on that guitar? That axe is nice! Those bridges are a pain though, but like anything else, it's good when it's right.
