NGD- Epiphone Dot Deluxe!
« on: February 13, 2012, 09:06:13 AM »
Traded my Heritage HFT445 Acoustic for this beauty and a Traynor YCV40 combo...

Beefist neck I've ever played.  Stock electronics are rather surprisingly good.  Needs a hsc, but other then that, its awesome!

That's one beautiful axe! I was just looking at those the other day. The amp's a good choice as well. Is the weight cool with you, I know they're about in the 45+ club at least. They've got good tone to them. Congrats!

Yeah, that is a beauty! I don't think I ever saw a Deluxe version up close and personal 8)
Only ever once played with a guy who had a Traynor and I don't recall the model, but I think it was a 2X12. I'll have to check out the sound on Youtube to be more informed.

I own one, the best blues playing guitar for under $400. It is solid, fast, and sounds oh so sweet! There a limited edition, get one before there gone ,you won't regret it.

great looking wood!

I've played a couple deluxes before, but they were a Sunburst model.  This model I've never seen before and the neck profile feels more like a 50's neck than the 60's which is found on the newer models.  Very easy to play.  Sounds so good!

I have never seen one in that color before. Mine is a vintage sunburst,2009 made in China. Maybe yours is an early 2000's made in Korea. Still very nice.

That's about as good as I can get it for pics for now.  The guitar is a 2006 made in China.

I made a huge mistake on this... I replaced the pickups with some Seymour Duncan Seth Lover's.. It appears the tone pot is not grounded in the neck position.  Guitar is so noisy, I can't play it at all.  I was so looking forward to taking it to band practice...

it's nothing that can't be fixed. semi-hollows are always a pita to swap out the guts.  something always goes wrong the first try.

Took it to the luthier yesterday, issue is not my pickup swap (thankfully) but rather the ground came loose from the bridge.  He'll be fixing that as well as a fret dress since I discoverd a couple high frets.

Bit of an old thread, but the luthier had to put some frets back in place, do a bit of filing and its all good now.  Bought a HSC case for it.  Its one of the best playing guitars I've ever had!  Absolutely love it!
