Its hard to believe its just an Epiphone Dot Deluxe.  I've seen many of them in a Tobacco Burst, but I've never seen one in a dark cherry finish.  I've seen some Dot's in just a plain top cherry, but none like this.  It's just an amazing guitar, you'll forget your just playing an Epiphone Dot sometimes... Its that good!

Hey DB - I just picked up another Dot Deluxe yesterday (China-vintage sunburst) and was comparing to my wine red (Korean). I had never noticed before, but my Korean model never had the serial number stamped on the label.

Is this a fluke, or does that indicate it was a second/B-stock? I thought they were usually stamped "Used" on the back of the headstock.

Anyway...They are both beautiful guitars that play, and sound, great to me. I almost bought an SX Dot copy, but after considering cost of guitar, case & shipping (and resale value) decided on the used Epiphone.

I haven't picked up a lot of Dots. The Korean ones havent been made in years.  Either way, congrats.  I highly recommend Seth Lovers for the pickups. They sound just fantastic in that type of guitar. I bought a used set for less than $100.

Hey DB...I was just curious, so I checked your posts for "NGD" over the past several months, and discovered seven (LOL)!!

Do you think we should both seek professional help for our affliction?  ::)

Don't bother, it's incurable.....but at least it isn't fatal!  :o
Many side effects however, such as spousal abuse for one.  ;D

I've even purchased another Heritage and didn't bother posting it because I regretted it.

Hmmm...How could you possibly regret purchasing a Heritage? Was there a problem with it?

I bought it expecting more then what it was.  I really prefer bound fretboards and trap inlays...
