New kid in town!
« on: April 13, 2012, 11:54:15 PM »
Hey guys!
I am nicolas, from France (sorry  :P), and I am because of Robert (I am using his works since a bunch of years and I thought that I had to pay him back - whatever the price other would have to pay...so here I am, heheh...)
I am 45 (ugh!), I used to play guitar from 15 to 25 (I was quite good at that time) then stopped because of bad reasons (You can't make a 'situation' of it, how will you feed your kids, etc.)
I started playing guitar again in 2006, and I am struggling to get back to my previous level. This is where Robert Renman enters the scene, as I used his tracks and lessons to 'improve' the noise I am doing...So if I'm here, it is his fault, not mine...
I use an old (and bad) Eko D50 acoustic guitar, and a recent (and good) Hagstrom Viking electric guitar. Any of these guitars are better than I, but it doesn't matter : I don't work to be good, I work to progress  ;)
I mostly play bluesy things, and try to sound rocky or jazzy when the background changes, but it doesn't really matters : I play for myself, and I am an easy audience :o
I am glad to be here, as it looks like a great place!

Bonjour, and welcome Nicolas. You will get back to your previous level and beyond. I went through the same thing at one time. I mostly play for myself as well.

Welcome to the forum!  I hope you enjoy it as much as the rest of us.  We love to hear about everyone's journey on the fretboard.  Where it was, where it is, and where its going.  Please visit us often, post as much as you can, and invite some friends who might enjoy it as well.  Robert has some great lessons and the forum is a good opportunity to ask Robert about advice on his lessons or share your own interpretations of his lessons.
