so hard to find a band

Trying to find a band or other musicians for a new band for a couple of months now.

People are looking for drummers or singere but rarely for guitarists.....
Its so much more fun to play with a few friends than just with headphones and recording software...

I know... perhaps you should try online collaborations? We can even do that here. Just post some tracks and people can collaborate on them in different ways.

Have you tried http://groovezoo.com/app/ ? I was going to, looks very promising. But of course I never have time. Might want to give it a try! People have recommended it to me.

It took me a couple months to put a band together through Craigslist... Finding talent was only part of it, finding nice personalties to go with it was a challenge.

I think he already has threads that have started it.  Usually someone uploads a looping back track, and people take turns playing several bars over the back track.  They just upload the updates as they go.

I understand about the headphone-software thing getting old after a while. I also agree with that quote "People are looking for drummers or singers, but rarely for guitarists....." also. Kinda reminds me of what I when through when I quit playing the first time. Since they built this Stadium (near me) for the Washington Nationals' baseball team, and the weather has been co-operating, there has been quite a bit of live entertainment in the form of bands. I've always enjoyed checkin' 'em out, but I too miss playing with some live folk. When some buddies I know are in town we jam, but that's WHEN they're in town. Where I live, I'm not amongst ANY talent what so ever. Lately, the software stuff just ain't doin' it for me either. As far as bands go, I'm done with 'em. Live jams are what it's all about now.

Yes I have seen his thread but for me it look like it a thread where you just exchange backingtracks it do say anything about or invite people to play over the tracks and upload them again.

I think that would be a great thing to do, hearing different peoples aproach to the same track.
