Hello from Oregon.
« on: May 05, 2012, 04:41:23 AM »
Greetings all.  I'm a longtime guitar player and a shorter time singer ... Starting a music career now.  I've set up a home recording studio in a shed and I'm recording my first album of guitar based music, some originals, some covers.  To be honest, my singing isn't up to the level of my guitar playing and needs another year (or 10) to sound professional.

I'm here to make some friends and to hopefully get some guidance as I move from an occasional professional to a recording artist with an album.  There's a radio station in town (part of NPR) and I'm hoping to get it to a few of my friends there so I can get some airplay ... and the thrill that hopefully will be.

I've got a bunch of great stuff, like guitars and amps and such but mostly I'm interested in the musical side of things and help and guidance.  Good to be here.

Welcome to the forum Turtle.  :)

To be honest, my singing isn't up to the level of my guitar playing and needs another year (or 10) to sound professional.
That sounds familiar, though I think I'd need to add another 0 on the end of the "(or 10)".  ;D
