Just like many of the other guys, I have too many favorites to choose just one. But, the song that's been running through my head the past few days is Bonnie Raitt's version of Nobody's Girl. Written by Larry John McNally.

p.s. @ GaryP...Love that Hiatt song too. Buddy Guy's version is my favorite though.

There's just so many out there (at least for me) that are good in my book, that I really do not have a favorite "song". I'll have to agree with Vladan and the creekster. For me, way too many to list.

Depends what kind of mood I'm in /changes day by day

I really like Journeys "who's crying now" the guitar solo at the end is none of my all time favorites

Sammy Hagars "one way to rock"

Kiss "mr. Speed"

Night Ranger "you can still rock in America" great twin guitar solos

John Mayer " I'm gonna find another you"

I'm all over the place. This is just a few

Two bands/artists I don't care for... Sammy for ruining Van Halen and Kiss for being more about the show then the music... I have friends that love them both.... Journey is awesome and John Mayer is one of the most underrated guitarists today...

I agree on the kiss statement these days its hard to admit to being a kiss fan but growing up I loved them Ace Frehley was the reason I wanted to play guitar
But I'll never agree on the Sammy thing Dave's better with Van halen  but Sammy's better all around as a singer

Sammy is a better singer, but turned the direction of the band from the life of the party to the sappy love sick puppies.... Killed the image of the band I thought was so cool.

Bit out of left field - and with the absence of guitar it it - I feel a strong connection with the Peter Hammill song Man Erg done with Van der Graaf Generator.
Not the most commercial of songs I'll admit, and not always comfortable to listen to:-

But as already said in this thread, there's so many good songs - and it depends on the mood what is "best" at any one time.
