Guitar Lesson Overview

This lesson is about the E Minor Pentatonic scale, first position (or Box 1, as it is sometimes referred to). This lesson is both basic and advanced, because I teach you the notes nice and slow. However, you will learn a an exercise where you take these 5 notes and create 2 slightly different patterns.

When played fast, as I do in this video, this exercise sounds really cool and impressive. However, speed is not the end goal, but the ability to make your fingers do parts of this pattern at any time, so that you create good licks and phrases from having practiced this exercise.

Check out this scale patterns course as well, I think you will find it very helpful.

So there you go, whether you are a beginner or and intermediate/advanced, I think you will find this lesson valuable.

This lesson really helps. I've been wanting to find a lesson with that climbing and decending feel. Could you do another on climbing and decending 3's and 4's. Your explanations are great. Keep Rockin'
