Slowing down songs is another great way to learn from records and your song collection. I use Song Surgeon, which works really well for this. Check it out.

Guitar Lesson Overview

Here is a funky blues lick in the style of Robben Ford. I have heard him play licks like this one on the song Chevrolet.

It's very cool to add that Major 6th when playing over dominant 7 groove. I do it all the time - Robben Ford does too.

The tune Chevrolet is featured on his album Handful Of Blues.

Do Check Out Robben Ford on i Tunes.

Really cool sounding lick .... I will use it in parts and whole, and added to other licks. thanks for showing every step start to finish. then instructing. I always loose concintration when other teachers talk pentatonic and theory, while I am learing the path from one note to another.

Robert, time after time I listen to your demonstration of a particular lesson, and I say to myself I will never be able to play it like that. However after watching your lesson and practicing.... I come real close. Thanks so much for sharing your gift of guitar playing!!!
