How do you get a Hendrix tone without spending a fortune on vintage gear? Well, there are of course many ways. Here is one way - using a POD HD500. You can do the same with the HD300 though - see the video for screenshot.
The pickups make a big difference for this type of sound, in my opinion. I use Porter 1950's Pickups, and they have low output and sound fantastic with the HD500. Highly recommended.
