Movable chord shape - this lesson shows how you can easily play 7 chords that all belong to the same family. They are called diatonic chords, and they all share the E major scale - you can play this scale over any of these chords and it will sound right. The chords I show are - E, F#m7, G#m7#5, Asus2, Bsus4, C#m7, D#m7b5. This may look like complicated chords, but remember they all are based on the E major scale. See the movable chords page for tabs. The other cool thing about these chords is that they all use the bottom 2 strings (B and E) open, which makes for a nice, big, shimmering sound.
