Another way to play 1 - IV - V boogie woogie rhythm guitar in rock and blues. This one has more variety to it. Try playing it at a faster tempo too.
Check out The House Is Rocking by Stevie Ray Vaughan too - it's very similar to this.
This is where I teach full time. Join me, and let me help you become the player you always wanted to be. I will teach you scales, improvisation, grooves, phrasing, chords, licks, solos, songs, lines, inversions, voicings, theory, tone, gear, and much more.
Just try me - it costs nothing to test drive my site for 3 days.
I have lots of gear demos too on this site. Go and take a look at some of my Guitar Videos for some examples of gear I use or have used.
Great video. Check out the amp in the background. It's an SX. That's the same amp I use!
Comment added on July 02, 2012Hi Matt, it is a standard 12 bar blues progression. The form is:
A, A, A, A
D, D, A, A
E, D, A, A
Now, when you are doing these boogies... is it the standard 12 bar blues? It seems as if you are going from I chord to IV chord then back to I then to V then back to I... I'm just trying to understand the theory behind this. Any input would be appreciated..
Great stuff tho man
great clips, pick up quite a bit from them. Thank you..
