This jazzy sounding lick can be played over a B7 dominant chord. It has a kind of Pat Martino sound to it, and it's mostly using the B Mixolydian mode, with some chromatic notes added.
Try this lick over a regular blues, if you want to sound a little jazzy! People might think you sound mighty hip! You can of course play it in a different key if you want. Move the whole lick down 2 frets in order to play the lick over an A7, and so on.
If you have not yet tried the web site JamPlay, you need to check it out. They have kindly offered a special 7 Day Free trial to visitors of Dolphinstreet. I have reviewed their site, and I have to say it is VERY impressive. So much good material to learn from.

The lessons come with printable materials and supplemental content - TAB, chord charts, exercises and a lot more. Here is an overview of some of the things you can learn at JamPlay.

I have lots of gear demos too on this site. Go and take a look at some of my Guitar Videos for some examples of gear I use or have used.
Thank you for the great lesson. Really enjoyed it.
