I have been doing long distance running since I was about 19 years old, and it's been a lot of fun. Running long distance is good for your health, since most of the exercise you do is actually at a low effort level, so you cardiovascular system receives a lot of benefit from long distance running. Plus, it is a lot of fun to go to races and meet other people!
