Woodstock 7 watt amp Video

With a Suhr Classic

With a Hagstrom Swede

The Woodstock is a really cool and great sounding little amp. Here I am, first with my Suhr Classic, then with my Hagstrom Swede. The cabinet used is the usual Avatar 2x12 with Eminence Wizards. I used an SM57 mic and a Golden Age Project Pre-73 into a Tascam US-122 and then I added the standard reverb from GarageBand. How's them tones?

See also my first 2 videos I made with the Woodstock amp - that time using just the microphone that is built into my video camera.

I used a different miking technique for talking, compared to playing. Me talking was just the camera microphone itself, and it is brighter for sure. I can eq the amp anyway I need though.

Hi Robert,
maybe it's just the video's audio, but to me the amp actually sounds a bit flat – if not muffled. Especially with a Strat there seems to a certain lack of brilliance. As the vid's sound is much more clear and brilliant when you're talking I have to suspect it's either the amp or the cabinet that's responsible for that sort of dullish sound... what do you think?
