These are amp presets on the Spider Valve MkII that I used for a gig in March 2010. On this video, I recorded using the camcorder microphone, so you may hear some sounds coming from my strings and the Brossard pick I used, since I played at low volume. Some of the videos where I have miced the amp with an SM57 haven't sounded quite to my liking, so I thought let's try the sound with the good old camcorder microphone for this one. This video should give you an idea how I use effects and amp tones to get the sounds that I am after. I use leslie, compressor, uni-vibe, delay, reverb, octafuzz, boost, tremolo, wah, chorus, and I am demonstrating these effects throughout the video. This amp sounds really great and has so many great effects and tones in it. You can probably tell I'm having fun as you watch this video! For giging it fits the bill for a wide range of music genre and can cut through during solos. I recommend this amp for any inspiring musician and hope to see more videos of you demonstating the wide range of capabilities this amp has to offer. Thanks, Janice Tuck said... Another fantastic video demo - getting better each time. Terry said... Top demo of this amp and the guitar playing gets better and better Robert... You was rigth Robert. If all thise efects and tone are only from Spider Valve MkII So it,s verry grate Amps. David Ewart said... Fantastic playing. But - it did sound to have far too much treble over all the demos. imho ;) For me this made it sound thin and tinny. This could be down to (a) the camrecorder mike or (b) my pc soundcard or (c) just delivery over the internet. I'm sure if I heard you live then there would be no problem. I have loved the demos that you have created for us. Thanks and I look forward to more. Comment added on April 06, 2010Mark said...
