This guitar is really cool. It has a pine body, Alnico III pickups and a sweet maple glossy neck. This guitar has great pickups - better than most other Squiers I have played. I like the vintage look and vintage sound of this guitar. To me, it's great for bluesier style of music. The Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster Custom Three-Tone Sunburst is great too, and do check it out as well if you are looking for a quality Telecaster to a low price. I really liked it too, and it felt and sounded more modern to my ears. Might better suited if you are after country twang. The CV Custom is $379.99. This time, I set up my gear for rockier, more general tone. I used a Mack Heatseeker, a Zonkin' Yellow Screamer and an RC Booster. This Telecaster has impressed me from the first time I tried it in a store. As a result, I orderded it "unplayed" from a local guitar store. You can get these online of course - they are very popular guitars right now. Where to buy
